Family and educationEdward Evelyn Greaves was born at Pie Corner in the Parish of St. Lucy in the Island of Barbados on 19 April 1940. He received his early education at St. Clement’s Boys’ School and his secondary education at the Coleridge and Parry School and Harrison College. Greaves graduated from the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus) with an honours degree in history and economics (1967) and from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, U.S., with a master's degree in education (Labor Studies- 1971). High Commission of Barbados, OttawaGreaves is the current Barbados government representative and High Commissioner to Canada. He replaced Glyne Samuel Hyvesta Murray. He was invited to serve as High Commissioner of Barbados to Canada by the newly elected prime minister of Barbados, David Thompson. AccreditationThe Barbadian High Commissioner in Ottawa is also concurrently accredited as non-resident ambassador to Australia and New Zealand.
