| name = Sir Edward Keith | title = Great Marischal of Scotland | image = | caption = Arms of Keith, Earl Marischal:{{br}}Argent, on a chief gules, three palets or. | noble family = Clan Keith | father = William de Keith | mother = Barbara de Seaton | spouse = Isabella de Synton Christian Menteith | birth_date = | birth_place = | death_date = 1346 | death_place = }}Sir Edward Keith (died 1346) was a Scottish nobleman and a hereditary Great Marischal of Scotland.[1] LifeSir Edward Keith was the son of William de Keith (died {{circa|1293}}) and Barbara de Seaton, daughter of Adam de Seaton.[2] In 1328 he received a charter to the lands of Kelly from King Robert the Bruce, witnessed by his brother Robert II Keith, Marischal of Scotland.[3] Neither he nor his brother Robert were at the Battle of Halidon Hill but his son William, fighting under Sir Archibald Douglas was taken prisoner there.[3] He inherited the hereditary sheriffdom of Selkirk through his first wife, Isabella de Synton.[3] Sir Edward Keith died before 1351 and succeeded by his son William.[4] FamilySir Edward Keith married first, before July 1305, Isabella de Synton,[4] daughter of Alexander de Synton.[3] Together they had:
