It was described by Parenti in 1983.[1] It is found in Japan (Hokkaidô, Honsyû) and south-eastern Siberia.[2] The length of the forewings is 3.4–4 mm for males and 3.7–4.3 mm for females. The forewings are dark grey-brownish, mottled with paler bases of scales and with sexually dimorphic whitish markings, which are much more distinct in females. Adults have been recorded on wing from late June to mid July, probably in one generation per year.[3] References1. ^{{cite web |editor-last=Beccaloni |editor-first=George |display-editors=etal |date=February 2005 |url=http://www.nhm.ac.uk/our-science/data/lepindex/search/ |title=Scientific name search |website=The Global Lepidoptera Names Index |publisher=Natural History Museum, London}}{{Failed verification|date=May 2018}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q20686690}}{{Elachistidae-stub}}2. ^Elachista at funet 3. ^Japanese Elachista studied by Parenti (1983) (Lepidoptera, Elachistidae): The Subgenus Aphelosetia and the Gleichenella-, Tetragonella-, and Bifasciella-Groups 3 : Moths described in 1983|Elachista|Moths of Asia |
