}} Endothenia nigricostana, the black-edged marble, is a moth of the family Tortricidae. It was described by Adrian Hardy Haworth in 1811. It is found from most of Europe,[2] east to Japan. The habitat consists of woodland margins and embankments. The wingspan is 11–15 mm.[3] Adults are on wing from May to July. The larvae feed on Stachys palustris, Stachys silvatica, and Lamium species.[4] They eat down from the flower into the stem and roots.[5] References1. ^tortricidae.com {{Taxonbar|from=Q13574029}}{{Olethreutinae-stub}}2. ^Fauna Europaea 3. ^microlepidoptera.nl 4. ^Lepidoptera of Belgium 5. ^[https://ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?bf=1102 UKmoths] 3 : Moths described in 1811|Endotheniini|Insects of Europe |
