He plays Gaelic football with his local club Naomh Conaill and has been a member of the Donegal senior inter-county team.[1] In 2005, Waide played for his club in the final of the Donegal Senior Football Championship.[2] He also played for his club in the final of the 2010 Donegal Senior Football Championship.[3] He then played for his club in the final of the 2015 Donegal Senior Football Championship.[4] His team won all three games.
