ReceptionThe Allmusic review by Alex Henderson awarded the album 3 stars, stating: "Europe is essentially a straight-ahead hard bop/post-bop date, and yet, it isn't necessarily an album that jazz purists will be comfortable with. That's because Motian doesn't stick to the type of all-acoustic format that purists expect... Europe is a solid effort that will please those who admire Motian's flexibility and open-mindedness".[2] {{Album ratings| rev1 = Allmusic | rev1Score = {{rating|3|5}}[2] }} Track listing
