Non-playing careerUpon retiring, Paratici was hired as the Chief Observer/Head of Scouting for Sampdoria in 2004.[5] During his tenure at Sampdoria, Paratici worked very closely with the club's Director General, Giuseppe Marotta, often being described as his "right-hand man".[6] In August 2008, Paratici was allegedly approached by Urbano Cairo, owner and chairman of Torino and offered the role of Sporting Director General. Sampdoria, and in particular Marotta, were furious at these allegations and accused Cairo of going behind their backs trying to lure Paratici, who was still under contact with Sampdoria until 2009.[7] In May 2010, Paratici moved from Sampdoria to Juventus, along with Director General Giuseppe Marotta and Manager Luigi Delneri. At Juventus, Paratici was appointed Head of Technical Areas and Sporting Director by the new president Andrea Agnelli.[8][9] Sampdoria owner Riccardo Garrone was furious with Giuseppe Marotta for taking Paratici with him to Juventus, as Garrone had expected Paratici to inherit the role of Director General at Sampdoria, and subsequently threatened to block any transfers to Juventus as a consequence.[10] References1. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.juventus.com/wps/portal/en/club/societa/area-sportiva/ |title=Sport Department |author= |date= |work=Juventus |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20110721062832/http://www.juventus.com/wps/portal/en/club/societa/area-sportiva/ |archivedate=2011-07-21 |df= }} {{DEFAULTSORT:Paratici, Fabio}}2. ^{{cite news|url=http://www.sportpiacenza.it/dettaglio.asp?DA=News&ID=1008/ |publisher=sportpiacenza.it |title=Il piacentino Fabio Paratici nuovo ds della Juventus |accessdate=15 September 2011 |date= |language=Italian }}{{dead link|date=December 2016 |bot=InternetArchiveBot |fix-attempted=yes }} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://storiapiacenza1919.xoom.it/rosa89.htm |title=La Rosa 1989-90 |author=storiapiacenza1919.xoom.it |date= |work= |language=Italian }}{{dead link|date=December 2016 |bot=InternetArchiveBot |fix-attempted=yes }} 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://ultrasfiorenzuola.blogspot.com/2010/07/ex-rossoneri-fanno-carriera.html |title=Ex rossoneri fanno carriera |author=Ultras Fiorenzuola |date= |work= |language=Italian |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20120402120959/http://ultrasfiorenzuola.blogspot.com/2010/07/ex-rossoneri-fanno-carriera.html |archivedate=2012-04-02 |df= }} 5. ^{{cite news|url=http://www.juventus.com/wps/portal/en/news/2010/7/news_newsseriea_535e0ddff6134b159631dae222c1e44a.asp/ |publisher=Juventus |title=Fabio Paratici |accessdate=15 September 2011 |date=1 July 2010 |language= |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20121021020739/http://www.juventus.com/wps/portal/en/news/2010/7/news_newsseriea_535e0ddff6134b159631dae222c1e44a.asp/ |archivedate=21 October 2012 |df= }} 6. ^{{cite web |url=http://iltifosi.tumblr.com/post/801044680/beppe-marotta-first-impressions-count |title=Beppe Marotta:First Impressions Count |author= Adam Digby |date= |work= |language=}} 7. ^{{cite news |url=http://www.lastampa.it/sport/cmsSezioni/quitoro/200806articoli/15133girata.asp |publisher=La Stampa |language=Italian |accessdate=2011-09-15 |date=2008-06-08 |title=Toro, è caos diesse Samp furiosa con Cairo |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20080611055041/http://www.lastampa.it/sport/cmsSezioni/quitoro/200806articoli/15133girata.asp |archivedate=2008-06-11 |df= }} 8. ^{{cite news|url=http://www.juventus.com/wps/portal/en/news/2010/7/news_newsseriea_535e0ddff6134b159631dae222c1e44a.asp/ |publisher=Juventus |title=Fabio Paratici |accessdate=15 September 2011 |date=1 July 2010 |language= |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20121021020739/http://www.juventus.com/wps/portal/en/news/2010/7/news_newsseriea_535e0ddff6134b159631dae222c1e44a.asp/ |archivedate=21 October 2012 |df= }} 9. ^{{cite news |url=http://www.tuttosport.com/calcio/serie_a/juventus/2010/05/18-69057/Juve,+parte+la+rifondazione+bianconera |publisher=Tuttosport |title=Juve, parte la rifondazione bianconera|accessdate=15 September 2011 |date=18 May 2010 |language=Italian}} 10. ^{{cite news |url=http://www.tuttosport.com/calcio/mondiali_2010/girone_f/italia/2010/06/28-74536/Garrone%3A+%C2%ABPazzini+alla+Juve%3F+Nemmeno+per+100+milioni%C2%BB |publisher=Tuttosport |title=Garrone: "Pazzini alla Juve?
