They play their home matches at Ballinamallard United F.C.'s Ferney Park. The club was founded in 2005[1] and is the only women's football team in County Fermanagh.[2] They are not currently affiliated with any league after being ejected from the Women's Premier League in June 2013.[3][3] HistoryFermanagh Mallards were initially placed in the Women's Premier League in their first season in 2005-2006, where they finished sixth.[4] In 2007 the team retained its previous season's ranking.[5] In 2008 they finished at the bottom of the league without gaining a point.[6] In 2009 Fermanagh Mallards won the Championship Cup against Cliftonville.[7] In 2010 the team was promoted back into the Women's Premier League from the Women's Championship after beating Loughgall Lakers into second place.[8] The club has also provided players for the Northern Ireland women's national football team.[9] In June 2013 Fermanagh Mallards were ejected from the Women's Premier League by the Northern Ireland Women's Football Association because of a lack of players, which often led to numerous fines and loss of points during the 2013 season.[3] The ejection came after the club did not travel to Belfast for a league cup match against Glentoran Belfast United L.F.C., the third time that the team forfeited a fixture during the season.[3] As a result, Fermanagh Mallards were also banned from competing in the Women's Premier League during the 2014 season.[10] YouthFollowing their Championship Cup success in 2010, the Fermanagh Mallards started a junior team after a consultation evening at Ferney Park.[7] In 2013, their under-17 team won the Northern Ireland Women's Football Association Under 17 League.[11] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://uk.women.soccerway.com/teams/northern-ireland/fermanagh-mallards/ |title=Fermanagh Mallards FC |publisher=Soccerway Women's Soccer |year=2014 |accessdate=2014-01-01}} 2. ^{{cite web|first=Aislinn |last=Hagan |url=http://fermanaghtv.squarespace.com/sport/2009/8/28/fermanagh-mallards.html |title=Fermanagh Mallards |publisher=Fermanagh TV |date=2009-08-28 |accessdate=2014-01-01 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20140101114207/http://fermanaghtv.squarespace.com/sport/2009/8/28/fermanagh-mallards.html |archivedate=2014-01-01 |df= }} 3. ^1 {{cite web|url=http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/local/newbridge-predators-in-hunt-for-points-after-fermanagh-mallards-exit-29443428.html |title=Newbridge Predators in hunt for points after Fermanagh Mallards exit |first=Nikki|last=McWilliams|work=Belfast Telegraph |date=2013-07-24 |accessdate=2014-01-01}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.rsssf.com/tablesn/nil-wom06.html|title=Northern Ireland (Women) 2005/6 |work=RSSSF |date=2007-06-08 |accessdate=2014-01-02}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.rsssf.com/tablesn/nil-wom07.html|title=Northern Ireland (Women) 2007 |work=RSSSF |date=2008-06-24 |accessdate=2014-01-02}} 6. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.rsssf.com/tablesn/nil-wom08.html|title=Northern Ireland (Women) 2008 |work=RSSSF |date=2009-06-26 |accessdate=2014-01-02}} 7. ^1 {{cite web|url=http://www.impartialreporter.com/sport/football/articles/2010/01/07/390531-ladies-information-night-as-fermanagh-mallards-look-to-build-further |title=Ladies information night as Fermanagh Mallards look to build further |work=Impartial Reporter |date=2010-01-07 |accessdate=2014-01-01}} 8. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.thefreelibrary.com/COOL+CRUES'+EARLY+FORM+IS+SIZZLING%3B+Davison's+Frudles+NIWFA.-a0254710985 |title=Cool Crues' Early Form is Sizzling; Davison's Frudles NIWFA|first=Sammy|last=Martin |work=The Mirror |date= |accessdate=2014-01-01}} (archived at The Free Library) 9. ^{{cite web|last=Leighton |first=Tony |url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/women/6652219.stm |title=England Women 4-0 N Ireland |work=BBC News |date=2007-05-13 |accessdate=2014-01-01}} 10. ^1 2 {{cite news|url=http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-34777708.html |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140610193757/http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-34777708.html |dead-url=yes |archive-date=2014-06-10 |title=Mallards Thrown out of League |first=Nikki|last=McWilliams|work=Belfast Telegraph |date=2013-06-14 |accessdate=2014-01-01}} (archived at Highbeam) 11. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.irishfa.com/news/item/8135/fermanagh-mallards-secure-niwfa-u17-league-title/ |title=Fermanagh Mallards Secure NIWFA U17 League Title |publisher=Irish Football Association |date=2013-03-29 |accessdate=2014-01-01 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20140101204536/http://www.irishfa.com/news/item/8135/fermanagh-mallards-secure-niwfa-u17-league-title/ |archivedate=2014-01-01 |df= }} 2 : Women's association football clubs in Northern Ireland|Association football clubs in County Fermanagh |
