DescriptionThe site consists of a platform mound which now measures {{convert|7|ft|m}} in height, with the base being {{convert|100|ft|m}} by {{convert|100|ft|m}}.[1] Excavations at the site have produced charcoal from beneath the mound which dates to 700–1200 CE. A cemetery established in the 1850s on the mounds summit has helped preserve it.[1] LocationThe site is located on US 165 {{convert|11.7|mi|km}} south of its junction with on Interstate 20.[1] See also
