Especially not a big thing like a jumbo jet'. The book questions alleged failure by governments and organisations to share information concerning Flight MH370.[2] The author suggests a cover up has occurred because the United States Military shot down the plane during military exercises in the region.[3] ReceptionThe book was fiercely criticised in The Australian by David Free, who described it as an 'information gumbo' that 'reproduces the slapdash atmosphere of the worst kind of 24-hour news show' and advised readers 'Next time you’re in one (a shop), buy any book other than this. I guarantee it won’t be worse'[4] while The Daily Telegraph reported some relatives of the victims were angered by the book[5] References1. ^{{cite news |url=https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/missing-malaysia-airlines-flight-mh370-was-shot-down-in-military-training-exercise-claims-first-book-released-about-lost-jet-9391964.html |title=Missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 was ‘shot down in military training exercise’ claims first book released about lost jet |work=The Independent}} 2. ^{{cite news |url=https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/flight-mh370-mystery-new-book-3563069|title=Flight MH370: The Mystery: New book claims missing flight may have been accidentally shot down |author=Stephen White|date=18 May 2014|work=Mirror Online}} 3. ^{{cite news |url=http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/books/first-book-on-mh370-mystery-blames-us-war-games-20140517-38gmf.html|title=First book on MH370 mystery blames US war games|work=The Sydney Morning Herald}} 4. ^{{cite news |author=David Free |title=Flying low: cashing in on MH370 |date=June 21, 2014 |url=http://www.theaustralian.com.au/arts/review/flying-low-cashing-in-on-mh370/story-fn9n8gph-1226960235823 }} 5. ^{{cite news |url=https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/malaysia/10839030/MH370-authors-claims-Malaysia-Airlines-plane-accidentally-shot-down-angers-victim.html |title=MH370: author's claims Malaysia Airlines plane accidentally shot down angers victim |author=Jonathan Pearlman |date=18 May 2014 |work=Telegraph }} 4 : 2014 non-fiction books|Malaysia Airlines Flight 370|Books about conspiracy theories|Books about foreign relations of the United States |
