Just like the fire department, this organization was staffed by volunteers.[3] In 1994 these two organizations were merged into a single department under the City of Florence and became known as the Florence Fire/EMS Department. {{As of|2015}}, the Florence Fire/EMS Department employs 58 paid staff members including fire suppression personnel and 6 administrative personnel.[3] In addition to the paid staffing, the department utilizes approximately 22 volunteers.Stations and apparatus{{As of|May 2015}}, this is the current list of stations and apparatus of the Florence Fire Department:[2]
