Prior to playing for Dijon, Berenguer trained at the youth academy of Sochaux.[2] Club careerBerenguer began his senior career in 2009 for Dijon FCO, playing in both Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. By mid-2014, he had been transferred to another Ligue 2 club, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, the club of his youth career, where he stayed for close to four years.
