Frank Isola is an American sportswriter, who covered the New York Knicks and the National Basketball Association for the New York Daily News from 1996 to 2018.[1][2] He also regularly appears on the ESPN show's Around the Horn[3] and Highly Questionable and SportsNet New York (SNY).{{citation needed|date=May 2016}} He is currently the lead host of "The Starting Lineup", which airs weekdays from 7-10am ET on SiriusXM NBA Radio. On October 1, 2018, Isola announced that he was joining The Athletic as a senior writer [4]. Isola received an APSE sports writing award in 1998,{{citation needed|date=May 2016}} and was voted New York Sportswriter of the Year in 2015. He also received a New York Emmy Award in 2009-10.{{citation needed|date=May 2016}} Isola is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, where he was a walk-on member of the men's soccer team.[5] He is married to his wife Tonja and has two children with her.
