The two are the only members of the section Sciadanthus.[5] Fraxinus hubeiensis grows as a tree to 19 m (60 ft) high. It has compound leaves which are range from 7 to 15 cm (2.5–6 in) in length and are composed of 7 to 9 (or rarely 11) leaflets.[1]It is used in penjing (a Chinese practice similar to the Japanese bonsai), but is at risk of overexploitation.[6] References1. ^1 2 {{cite web|url=http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=210000554|title=Fraxinus hupehensis Ch'u & Shang & Su|work=Flora of China|publisher=eFlora|accessdate=23 September 2012}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q5494010}}2. ^S.Z.Qu, C.B.Shang & P.L.Su, 1979.
