}}Fred Mollin is a Canadian film and television music composer, actor and producer.[1] He is known for composing and performing music for films and television, including Beverly Hills, 90210 and The Series.[2][3]

Career

Mollin created the children's musical group The Rugrats with Ronney Abramson and Ron Garant. The group's 1983 debut album, Rugrat Rock, was produced by Mollin;[4] it won the Best Children's Album category at the Juno Awards of 1984.[5] In 1985 the band recorded a second album, The Rugrats Rock On,[6][7] which featured Mollin.

Mollin composed and arranged the sound track for the television series Friday the 13th, mainly using a synthesizer; the music was released in 1989 by Paramount as the album Friday the 13th: The Series.[8]

Mollin won a Gemini award for Best Original Music Score for a Series, Beyond Reality, in 1991.[9][10]
