Launched during the 1930s, the ship served in the Mediterranean and, very shortly, in northern Europe. HistoryAfter being launched on 8 December 1933, L'Indomptable entered into service in Spring 1936. She served with the Mediterranean Fleet based in Toulon before transferring to the Atlantic Fleet, where the Le Fantasque-class destroyers were assigned to the Force de Raid when war was declared.[1] She was scuttled in Toulon on November 27th, 1942 along with the major part of the French fleet.
