}} | L'Indomptable ("The indomitable one") was a Le Fantasque-class large destroyer (contre-torpilleur, "torpedo-boat destroyer") of the French Navy, which served in World War II. Launched during the 1930s, the ship served in the Mediterranean and, very shortly, in northern Europe. HistoryAfter being launched on 8 December 1933, L'Indomptable entered into service in Spring 1936. She served with the Mediterranean Fleet based in Toulon before transferring to the Atlantic Fleet, where the Le Fantasque-class destroyers were assigned to the Force de Raid when war was declared.[1] She was scuttled in Toulon on November 27th, 1942 along with the major part of the French fleet.
