He played at representative level for England and Rugby League XIII, and at club level for Hull Kingston Rovers and York, as a {{rlp|sr}}, i.e. number 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.[1] BackgroundGeorge Saddington's birth was registered in Sculcoates district, Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
