释义 |
Most of the island's original trees were cut in the 1920s, while more were cut in the 1980s during a spruce budworm outbreak. There are four campsites along the shoreline. The island is part of the Maine Natural Areas Program and is considered publicly owned reserved land, open for camping and recreation year-round.[2][3] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.maine.gov/dacf/mnap/reservesys/geroisland.htm|title=Maine Natural Areas Program Ecoreserve Fact Sheet for Gero Island|work=Maine|accessdate=4 July 2014}} {{coord|46.073|-69.377|type:isle_region:US-ME|display=title}}{{Penobscot River}}{{Maine-geo-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.visitmaine.com/things-to-do/recreation-areas/gero-island-public-reserved-land/|title=Gero Island Public Reserved Land |accessdate=4 July 2014}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/doc/parksearch/details.pl?park_id=52|title=State Parks and Public Lands: Maine ACF - Search Results|work=Maine|accessdate=4 July 2014}} 2 : Islands of Piscataquis County, Maine|Islands of Maine |
