The title is a reference to the spaghetti western Django, released in 1966. The title song featured in the video game, London 1969, which is set in 1969, and as a cover, in the film The Beach. The album was re-released on the 20 February 2012 on 180g vinyl through Sunspot Records.{{Citation needed|date=March 2012}} The title track gained prominence in the U.K when earlier in 1969 Alan Blake, a young film editor at the time, suggested it be used as the soundtrack to a Cadburys chocolate commercial which had been directed by Terry Gilliam, then the animation wizard for Monty Python's Flying Circus. Return of Django was re-released as a single and becoming a 'top ten' hit.
