At the age of 17 she was the youngest African American to turn professional and win her debut tournament at −10 shooting a personal best, 64 (−8) to win.{{citation needed|date=May 2013}} She was the first African American to earn a spot in Junior Ryder Cup, playing in 2010.[1] She earned her 2016 LPGA Tour card through qualifying school.
