In the {{CensusAU|2011}} the town had a population of 1259.[2] GeographyGlenwood is located about halfway between Gympie and Maryborough on the Bruce Highway. HistoryA primary state school was established in the town in 1918.[2] Glenwood was part of the Shire of Tiaro until the local government amalgamations of 2008. EventsIt is a small town except on the third weekend in August when they hold their Swap Meet which is run by volunteers at the Glenwood Hall. The Glenwood Progress Association run many events throughout the year at the Glenwood Hall.
