It was founded on 15 December 1888 in Reykjavík as an Icelandic wrestling team. Today it has departments in basketball, gymnastics, judo, power lifting, swimming, skiing, taekwondo and track & field.[1] BasketballMen's basketball{{main|Ármann men's basketball}}Árman's men's basketball team was one of the founding members of the top-tier basketball league in Iceland in 1952.[2] It won its first and only national championship in 1976.[3] Women's basketball{{main|Ármann women's basketball}}Ármann women's basketball team won the inaugural women's national championship in 1953 and added two more in 1959 and 1960.[4] FootballMen's footballTrophies
