}}GoDigital Media Group (GDMG) is a California-based entertainment industry technology company founded in 2005. The company started as an entertainment industry holding company, eventually expanding to be a media and technology company. GDMG focuses on intellectual property rights management and digital distribution of entertainment content through its business units.

Background

GoDigital Media Group's (GDMG) core business originated as GoDigital Music Group, a music distributor; GoDigital Records, a record label;[2][3] and Symbolic Entertainment, a film studio.[4]

In a 2008 reorganization, the firm created a subsidiary, under the shortened name GoDigital, which specializes in digital and video on demand movie distribution.[5] GoDigital's CEO Jason Peterson headed an in-house software development effort for digital supply-chain and rights management that became ContentBridge. Peterson assumed the position of CEO for ContentBridge Systems upon incorporation in 2010, and co-founder Logan Mulvey moved from President to CEO at GoDigital.[6] In 2018 Content Bridge's CEO, Jason Peterson was named as a 'top 40 under 40 power player' for 2018 by both Billboard magazine and Media Play News.[1][2] GDMG's label was subsequent rebranded Cinq Music specializing in music distribution and rights management for recording artists.

GoDigital merged with Variance Films in January 2014, forming a new distribution entity, Amplify. GoDigital has distribution deals with YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and iTunes.[9] Video on demand partners include Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Verizon FiOS.[9]

Services

AdShare is a social media (primarily YouTube content) monetization service for entertainment industry rights-holders.[11]ContentBridge (Content Bridge LLC) is a supply chain management (SCM), digital rights management (DRM), and encoding software provider for the entertainment industry.[12] Content Bridge won the 2014 EMA's "Industry Leadership" Digital Award for software support for the SMPTE Interoperable Master Package (IMP), CableLabs and UltraViolet digital supply chain standards.[13][14]
