释义 |
The {{nihongo|Goishi Coast|碁石海岸|Goishi Kaigan}} is a nationally designated Place of Scenic Beauty and Natural Monument in Ōfunato, Iwate Prefecture, Japan.[1] The name is derived from the local stones, polished by the waves, that resemble those used in Go.[2] In 1996, the Ministry of the Environment selected the sound of the waves breaking over {{nihongo|Kaminari iwa|雷岩}} (lit. 'Thunder Rock') as one of the 100 Soundscapes of Japan.[3] The Goishi Coast forms part of the Rikuchū Kaigan National Park and is a breeding ground for the black-tailed gull.[4] See also
