The Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Company ({{zh|t=金門餅食公司|s=金门饼食公司|first=t|p=jīnmén bǐngshí gōngsī|j=gam1mun4 beng2sik6 gung1si1}}) is a fortune cookie company with its main entrance off Ross Alley, near Jackson Street in the Chinatown neighborhood of San Francisco, California in the United States. In 2011, Wired voted the company as one of their top ten "geekiest" places in San Francisco.[1] The cookie company, located between Jackson and Washington Streets in Ross Alley, was opened in 1962. It is owned by Franklin Yee. They make traditional fortune cookies, as well as chocolate flavored fortune cookies, almond cookies, and other sweets.[2] Visitors can observe workers using motorized circular griddles to create fortune cookies, which they sell for $5 a bag or flat cookies for $3 a bag (March 2015). The company also makes "fortuneless" cookies. They charge 50 cents for photographs of the workers and the factory interior.[3] GalleryReferences1. ^{{cite news |author=Evan Predavec |year=2011 |title=10 of the Best Geeky Places in San Francisco |work=GeekDad |publisher=Wired |url=https://www.wired.com/2011/12/10-geeky-places-san-francisco/ |accessdate=25 December 2011 |deadurl=no |df= }} 2. ^{{cite news | author=Bonnie Tsui | title=Fortune Cookies | work=Foraging | publisher=New York Times | url=http://travel.nytimes.com/2004/12/26/travel/26foraging.html | accessdate=25 December 2011 | date=26 December 2004}} 3. ^{{cite book|author=Fodor's|title=Fodor's Northern California 2009: With Napa, Sonoma, Yosemite, San Francisco & Lake Tahoe|date=6 January 2009|publisher=Random House Digital, Inc.|isbn=1-4000-0805-0|page=32}} External links{{Commons category|Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Company}}
