Golden Public School is in Gajsinghpur, Sri Ganganagar district, Rajasthan.

It is a coeducational, CBSE affiliated senior secondary school, which was opened in 2002 under the guidance of Mrs. Riturajkaur.

At GPS, a Day scholar school, the medium of teaching is the English and Hindi languages. GPS provides value based education in the small town near border surrounded by small villages. "The school’s motto- RISE AND SHINE says it all" says Mrs. Riturajkaur.

Registrations are made at the time of procuring admissions.

Admission forms should fill in by guardians. No subsequent changes will be permitted for any reasons whatsoever.
Date of Birth certificate, Original Transfer Certificate from a school affiliated to the Central Board Of Secondary Education on proper format prescribed by the CBSE duly counter-signed by the Regional Officer CBSE of that region
. Original Transfer Certificate duly counter – signed by the District Education Officer in respect of students coming from other recognized/un-recognised/private schools.
Attested Photostat copy of marks statement from the board/school.
6 copies of the recent passport size photographs of the student.
Original migration certificate from Board in respect of students admitted in Class XI and XII from other boards.
Attested photocopy of the ‘Certificate of School-based Evaluation’ in respect of students admitted in class XI coming from schools affiliated to CBSE .^[1]

History

The school opened in 2002. Programs for kindergarten through Grade 8 began in 2002, as Golden public School System, and a program for Grades 9-10 was added in 2007 and for grade 11-12th in 2011.

Affiliations

10th grade students take the CBSE. Also for class 11-12th, which are also affiliated by CBSE, an Arts course and a Commerce course are offered. The Arts course offers the following subjects: Geography, Hindi, History, Sociology, Political Science, , Hindi, Multimedia. The Commerce course offers the following subjects: Accounts, Business, Economics, and Entrepreneurship

Both of these courses includes:English and Physical Education also

Co-curricular activities

Students are required to take part in co-curricular activities. Performing arts include Western Indian dances, Classical, Folk Dances like Bhangra, and Giddha, .--> Every year at the Annual function organized as "Golden Masti and Golden Dhammal" students perform dances and shows.

Houses

The school has a house system with four houses based on four fearless animals:

Red Pathers
Yellow Jaguars
Blue Lions
Green Tigers

Each house is required to appoint a House captain.House captain keeps the teams trained for the inter-house competitions. They also promote mass participation in the inter-house tournaments

Organization of inter house activities

Inter house activities include cultural festivals and recitation in addition to sports and games.Various athletic and sports events are organized annually in which each student takes part and represent him/herself in front of whole school. The inter-house competitions are conducted so that all students can participate.this develops the various social skills of the students. The leadership training is also obtained from these competitions.

Major games: include football (soccer), cricket, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, cycling Indian origin games like Kho-Kho, and Kabaddi.
