It is located on Pico de Orizaba (Volcán Citlaltépetl) ({{convert|5636|m}}) which is the highest point in Mexico. It contains nine named glaciers, including seven outlet glaciers, and a mountain niche glacier.[1] The elevation of these glaciers range from near {{convert|5610|m|abbr=on}} to {{convert|4700|m|abbr=on}}.
