It is located in the village of Medjå, on the north side of the river Namsen. It is the church for the Grong parish which is part of the Namdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1877 by the architects H. Mosling and Jacob Wilhelm Nordan. The church seats about 260 people.[1][2][3] See also
