Raimondi was nominated to the court by Italy and began his 9-year term as ECHR judge on 5 May 2010. He has been the President of ECHR since 1 November 2015.[1] Early careerBetween 1997 and 2003 Raimondi served on the Supreme Court of Cassation, first in the Advocate General’s office and then as judge. During the same period he occasionally served as ad hoc judge in cases before the European Court of Human Rights. In May 2003 he joined the International Labour Organization (ILO) as Deputy Legal Adviser in Geneva. In February 2008 he became Legal Adviser of that organization.[2] European Court of Human RightsRaimondi has been a judge at the European Court of Human Rights since 2010. In September 2012 he was elected Section President and then Vice-President of the Court for a three-year term of office starting on 1 November 2012.
