It is owned by Ethem Sancak. HistoryGüneş was launched by the Kozanoğlu‐Çavuşoğlu group in 19 February 1982; it was later bought by Asil Nadir.[2][3]Güneş was owned by the Çukurova Media Group (who acquired it from Güneri Cıvaoğlu) from 1996 to 2013.
