}}Habayia is an extinct genus of traversodontid cynodonts from the Late Triassic of Belgium. A single postcanine tooth was found in Habay-la-Vieille in southern Belgium. Based on the size of the tooth, Habayia was very small. Habayia lived during the Rhaetian stage of the Late Triassic at a time when western Europe was an island archipelago due to high sea levels. The small size of Habayia may be a result of insular dwarfism.[1] References1. ^{{cite journal |last=Godefroit |first=P. |year=1999 |title=New traversodontid (Therapsida: Cynodontia) teeth from the Upper Triassic of Habay-la-Vieille (southern Belgium) |journal=Paläontologische Zeitschrift |volume=73 |issue=3-4 |pages=385–394 |doi=10.1007/BF02988049}} {{Cynodontia|C.}}{{Taxonbar|from=Q5636641}}{{paleo-therapsid-stub}} 6 : Cynognathian genera|Triassic synapsids of Europe|Habay|Late Triassic synapsids|Fossil taxa described in 1999|Taxa named by Pascal Godefroit |
