"Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You?" is a song written by Stevie Nicks and Keith Olsen off the 1985 album Rock a Little. It was also released as a single in 1986, peaking at #60 for two weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. During VH1 Storytellers, Nicks explained that "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You?" was written about the death of Joe Walsh's eldest daughter, Emma Kristen, and his subsequent penning of "Song for Emma" from the album So What.{{sfn|Hay|1998|page=122}}

Mike DeGagne of AllMusic retrospectively applauded Nicks for her "wholehearted approach" on "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You?".{{sfn|DeGagne|2001|page=283}}

  • The song was performed by Stevie Nicks on the January 8, 2014 episode of Coven ("The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks").
  • Drag cabaret duo Kiki and Herb performed the song in their 2004 show (and subsequent 2005 live album) Kiki and Herb Would Die For You: Live at Carnegie Hall. Kiki introduced it as a tribute to her former lover Yasaweh.
