Eric Wedgewood[1] (born May 26, 1986), known as Heiko Julien, is an American poet and short-story writer. He lives in Chicago, Illinois. Julien's stories, poetry, and essays have been published in n+1, Thought Catalog, Pop Serial, Shabby Doll House, and The Lifted Brow.

[2][3] His work has been described as being preoccupied with memes, media, and online community.[4][5]

Julien has cited authors Mark Leyner, Ben Brooks, Tao Lin, and blogger Steve Roggenbuck as central influences. According to the Brooklyn Rail, Mark Leyner describes Heiko Julien's writing as "prose that actually feels like the 21st century." [6]
