It is found only in the states of Florida and Georgia in the southeastern United States.[1][2]Helianthus agrestis is an annual herb sometimes as much as 200 cm (80 inches) tall. One plant can have as many as 15 flower heads, each with about 12 ray florets surrounding 50 or more disc florets.
