It was described by Lee, Hirowatari and Kuroko in 2006 and is endemic to Japan (Honshu).[1] The length of the forewings is {{convert|2.8|-|3.2|mm}}. The forewings are pale greyish ochreous with brassy reflections. The hindwings are pale brown with brassy reflections.
