TaxonomyThis species was described by Miltgen et al. in 1980.[1] DistributionThis species is found in Gabon. DescriptionThe intrahepatic schizonts (maximum {{convert|900|x|450|um|disp=or}}) are larger than those of other species and the cyst wall has a spongy appearance which appears to be unique.
