According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Hinah had a population of 1,524 in the 2004 census.[2] Historical geography Samuel Klein has pointed out that in the immediate environs of Hinah and Rimah there is a large reservoir (birket) containing more than {{convert|500|m3|l|}} of water for irrigation of crops.[3] See also
