Huang was born 1959 in Hualien, Taiwan. He received his bachelor's degree from Tung Hai University, Taichung, Taiwan, and currently holds both a master's degree and a Doctoral Degree candidacy in Aesthetics from the Graduate Institute of Philosophy of Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Mr. Huang is the first artist of Chinese descent to have his artworks imprinted on Visa credit cards worldwide. Mr. Huang devoted his full-time endeavor to the fulfillment of his aesthetic passion. He became the first Chinese artist to have his work presented on an International VISA Card; later also collaborated with Master card and the Japanese JCB card to name the cards after his name and his works of art. In 2010, his solo exhibition at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts was highly successful.{{clarify|date=March 2014}}[1] Mr. Huang's paintings have also been featured in plays performed in the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Red Rose and White Rose, directed by the renowned Chinese Director, Tien Qin-Xin. In 2011, Mr. Huang was invited by Aynsley, a Chinese manufacturer, as one of the wedding memorial chinaware designers for Prince William’s Wedding. He has been invited for a solo exhibition, Robert Huang’s Paris’ Roses, at the Chinese Cultural Centre in Paris in April 2011, and for a solo exhibition tour in Beijing. The porcelain wares that Mr. Huang has designed have been distributed worldwide in more than 80 countries. Mr. Huang's paintings have also been offered at numerous international auctions.
