It is located in the village of Husnes. The church is part of the Husnes og Holmedal parish in the Sunnhordland deanery in the Diocese of Bjørgvin.[1][2] HistoryThe first church in Husnes was originally called Kaldestad Church, and it was first named in historical records in 1337. That church was likely a stave church. The name was later changed to Husnes Church. Some time before 1660, the church was torn down and replaced by a timber-framed church. In 1874, this church too was torn down, and the present church was built to replace it. The present church is a white, wooden church that seats about 280 people. It was consecrated on 11 September 1874.[3] See also
