ReactionsProduction of Iron(II)Hydroxide-Iodide: FeI2•4H2O -----> Fe(OH)I + HI + 3H2O The thermal decomposition of tetrahydrate iron(II) iodide to produce iron(II) hydroxide-iodide, hydrogen iodide and water. This reaction takes place at a temperature of over 100 °C.
