He raced to sixth place in a time of 1:04.68, trailing Mexico's Alfredo Jacobo by a hundredth of a second (0.01). Rodriguez failed to advance into the semifinals, as he placed forty-fourth overall on the first day of prelims.[6][7][8] References1. ^{{cite Sports-Reference |title=Iván Rodríguez |url=https://www.sports-reference.com/olympics/athletes/ro/ivan-rodriguez-2.html |accessdate=3 June 2013}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Rodriguez Mesa, Ivan}}{{Panama-swimming-bio-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|title=ASU Olympians List|url=http://www.thesundevils.com/sports/olympics/spec-rel/asu-olympian-list.html|publisher=Arizona State Sun Devils|accessdate=3 June 2013|deadurl=yes|archiveurl=https://archive.is/20130630102945/http://www.thesundevils.com/sports/olympics/spec-rel/asu-olympian-list.html|archivedate=30 June 2013|df=}} 3. ^{{cite web|title=Arizona State Olympians|url=http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/asu/sports/c-swim/auto_pdf/07-media-guide.pdf|format=PDF|page=41|publisher=Arizona State Sun Devils|accessdate=2 June 2013}} 4. ^{{cite news|last=Martinez|first=Carlos Alberto|title=En natación y en tiro, Panamá iniciará la aventura de Sydney|trans-title=In swimming and shooting, Panama's adventure starts in Sydney|language=Spanish|url=http://www.critica.com.pa/archivo/09152000/olimpia.html|publisher=Critica|date=3 April 1999|accessdate=3 June 2013}} 5. ^{{cite web|title=Swimming – Men's 100m Breaststroke Startlist (Heat 5)|url=http://www.omegatiming.com/File/Download?id=000100060013000000FFFFFFFFFFFF00|format=PDF|work=Sydney 2000|publisher=Omega Timing|accessdate=23 April 2013}} 6. ^{{cite web|title=Sydney 2000: Swimming – Men's 100m Breaststroke Heat 5 |url=http://www.la84foundation.org/6oic/OfficialReports/2000/Masters/sw/SWresults.pdf |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110819181023/http://la84foundation.org/6oic/OfficialReports/2000/Masters/sw/SWresults.pdf |dead-url=yes |archive-date=19 August 2011 |format=PDF |work=Sydney 2000 |publisher=LA84 Foundation |page=241 |accessdate=23 April 2013 }} 7. ^{{cite news|last=Newberry|first=Paul|title=Thompson anchors U.S. relay win; Thorpe wins 400 free|url=http://www.canoe.ca/2000GamesSwimming/sep16_tho.html|publisher=Canoe.ca|date=16 September 2000|accessdate=28 May 2013}} 8. ^{{cite news|title=Czene Misses Medal At Olympics|url=http://www.thesundevils.com/sports/c-swim/spec-rel/092100aaa.html|publisher=Arizona State Sun Devils|date=21 September 2000|accessdate=9 June 2013}}{{dead link|date=November 2017 |bot=InternetArchiveBot |fix-attempted=yes }} 9 : 1977 births|Living people|Panamanian male swimmers|Olympic swimmers of Panama|Swimmers at the 1999 Pan American Games|Swimmers at the 2000 Summer Olympics|Male breaststroke swimmers|Sportspeople from Panama City|Arizona State Sun Devils men's swimmers |
