The institute was awarded "Best Institution" on 18 January 2004 by the president of Bangladesh.[5]{{failed verification|date=December 2012}} Facilities include a 1,000-seat auditorium.{{citation needed|date=March 2015}} The principal is usually a lieutenant colonel of the Army Education Corps of Bangladesh Army. If an officer is not found who is a lieutenant colonel then a civilian is employed as the principal.{{citation needed|date=December 2012}} The principal is the Member Secretary of the Governing Body.[6] The prolocutor of the Governing Body is the station commander of Jalalabad Cantonment. The prolocutor is a brigadier general of the Bangladesh Army.[6] School with primaryThe school section gives the opportunity of studying from class 1 to 10. Students of class 9 and 10 can study science, business studies and arts programmes.
