Not to be confused with the modern (Post 1990s) era ward with a similar name called Jalan Besar Group Representation Constituency where it was led by the ex-minister Lee Boon Yang which consists of several surrounding towns such as Kolam Ayer and at some point of time, Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng as well as Whampoa etc. .

Jalan Besar Single Member Constituency (Traditional Chinese: 惹蘭勿剎單選區; Simplified Chinese: 惹兰勿刹单选区) is a defunct Single Member Constituency within Kallang, Singapore. It existed from 1959 to 1988.

Members of Parliament

  • Chan Chee Seng (1959 – 1984)
  • Lee Boon Yang (1984 – 1988)
Constituency absorbed into Jalan Besar Group Representation Constituency. It was also part of Moulmein-Kallang GRC in 2011 to 2015.
