词条 | James Dredge (minister) |
释义 |
Dredge gave up his position as Assistant Protector, which he considered misconceived: secular and possibly set up to fail.[2] He was a preacher at Geelong from 1842 to 1846. He then was in poor health, and undertook a sea voyage to take him back to England. He died on the way.[3] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://webjournals.ac.edu.au/journals/adeb/d_/dredge-james-1796-1846/ |title=DREDGE, James (1796-1846) |publisher=Web Journals |accessdate=6 January 2013 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20130514094505/http://webjournals.ac.edu.au/journals/adeb/d_/dredge-james-1796-1846/ |archivedate=14 May 2013 |df= }} {{authority control}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Dredge, James}}{{England-bio-stub}}2. ^{{cite book|last1=O'Brien|first1=Glen|last2=Carey|first2=Hilary M.|title=Methodism in Australia: A History|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=nAmrCwAAQBAJ&pg=PA201|accessdate=29 December 2017|date=2016-03-03|publisher=Routledge|isbn=9781317097099|page=201}} 3. ^{{cite book|last=Symons|first=John Christian|title=Life of the Rev.
