Scott was nominated for a record total of 29 times. She was known as an innovator in the production design for the mini-series format, and also as a rare female production designer in a field dominated by men. Scott was a president of the Art Directors Guild and also served as a vice-president, second vice-president and governor of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. See also
