His usual position is flanker or number eight and he most recently played for Japanese Top League club Kintetsu Liners. CareerCook started out his career with the {{Rut Free State Cheetahs}}, however he only made one senior appearance for them before switching to the {{Rut Blue Bulls}} in 2012.[1] He received his first and only call up to the {{Rut Bulls}} Super Rugby squad in 2013 and marked his debut with a try against the {{Rut Force}} in a 36-26 win.[2] He returned to the Cheetahs for the 2014 Super Rugby season. He was included in the Cheetahs squad for the 2014 season[3][4] and made his debut in a 21–20 defeat to the {{Rut Lions}} in Bloemfontein were his only start[5] was in the 61st minute, receiving a yellow card in the 61st minute of the game.
