Varasano is also a speedcuber. In 1981, at the age of 14, Jeff set the Rubik's Cube US Record, solving the puzzle in 24.67 seconds.[4] At 15, he published his methods in "Jeff Conquers the Cube in 45 Seconds, And You Can Too!" [5] After high school, Jeff went on to earn a degree in Economics from Yale University. He spent several more years in New York City as a computer consultant and software engineer, then moved to Atlanta in 1998.{{citation needed|date=May 2012}} Varasano believes global warming is a "hoax" because the volume of oil used annually is small compared to the surface of the earth.
