A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), she represents District 7A in northeastern Minnesota. Early life and educationSchultz was raised in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.[2] She attended the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, graduating with a bachelor's degree in political science. She later attended Washington State University, graduating with an M.A. in economics, and the University of Minnesota, graduating with a Ph.D. in health services research, policy, and administration with a concentration in health economics.[3] Minnesota House of RepresentativesSchultz was first elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2014. Personal lifeSchultz is married to her husband, Rob Weidner.
