It is located in the Oruro Department, Sabaya Province, Sabaya Municipality, south of the Lauca River. West of Jinchupalla there are two craters named Jach'a P'iya ("big hole", Jachcha Phiya) and Jisk'a P'iya ("little hole", Jiskha Phiya).
