Joe Pompei is an American inventor and the founder of Holosonics,^[1] a company that has delivered techniques for precisely projecting sound using millimeter-wavelength sound waves using technology developed originally as part of his Ph.D. thesis at MIT.^[2] In 2003 he was recognized as a "young innovator" by being included in the MIT Technology Review's TR100 list.^[3]
